Fuelled by personal encounters and frustrations, Blue Badge Blues’s founder envisioned a solution to tackle the rampant abuse faced by blue badge holders.

With a background in logistics and a history of pioneering initiatives, including the distribution of fruits under the 5-a-day scheme, Blue Badge Blues’s founder brings a wealth of entrepreneurial experience to this endeavour. This background laid the foundation for developing a pioneering solution to safeguard disabled parking spaces.

The Spark of New Beginning

The inception of Blue Badge Blues stemmed from a critical moment of personal experience. Witnessing blatant misuse of disabled bays and facing verbal abuse was the tipping point. This incident highlighted the urgent need for a proactive solution to protect these vital resources.

Our Solution

Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, Blue Badge Blues’s founder collaborated with Innovate Design to develop a prototype that promises to revolutionise disabled parking management. This innovative system aims not only to prevent unauthorised use, but also to provide valuable parking data for better facility planning.

Accreditations

We were very impressed with what the Innovate team created, particularly Liam, who came up with such an impressive final design for the prototype. It has the capacity to be made into a portable model, which can be used for outdoor events such as country fairs, festivals, music events, and anywhere that requires temporary parking for disabled people, requiring no external power supply to operate it.
